How it works
Every Try Scuba day starts in the pool at the dive centre. Your SSI instructor shows you the gear, the breathing and the skills you need, at your pace, until it all feels natural.
Then the fun part: a real dive over Gili Air’s turtle reefs, to a maximum of 12 metres, with your instructor right beside you the whole time. We are based on Turtle Point, so the locals usually come to say hi.
We keep it small on purpose. You are not joining a queue of tourists; you are going diving with people who love showing their reefs to first-timers.

Slept in? The ocean waits for you
A relaxed late start: pool at 10AM, dive at 2:30PM. Same care, same turtles, gentler alarm clock.
Not sure about the ocean yet? Book a pool-only session and take your first underwater breaths in the calmest water there is. All prices in IDR · Marine Park fee of IDR 100,000 not included.
If you fall in love
Most people surface from their Try Scuba dive with one question: when can I go again? Good news. If you continue to the SSI Open Water course with us, your Try Scuba day is credited: the pool time and the dive you already did count towards the course.
You only ever pay the Open Water price. No double-charging, no starting over.
